Here is why you should watch the show: It is always a beautiful thing to watch people doing the things they care about. It is clear that this project brings joy to the creators. Hopefully it brings money as well, but more importantly, joy.

Has it really been only 60 years? Only 60 years of occupation, subjugation, humiliation, oppression? Why does it feel like a lifetime? Wait... 60 years IS a lifetime for many.

I was ecstatic to hear that Al-Jazeera cameraman Sami Al-Hajj has been released today by American authorities after spending SIX and a half years in the prison at Guantanamo Bay. I previously blogged about his ordeal.

A few weeks ago, a colleague of mine sent me a story he had received from someone by email, asking if I could publish it. It was the first-hand account of a Palestinian man, his Gaza-born wife, and their family, all of whom were born and raised in the West Bank. It was the story of their attempt to cross the Allenby Bridge into Jordan for a much needed break, and to visit with some relatives in Amman.They soon learned that the curse of being Gazan-or in this case, or even being related to someone born in Gaza- followed them even to the West Bank.
